As Founder and Tour Manager of Himalayan Experience, Dipak Dhamala brings his wealth of local knowledge and expertise to each individualized tour. It is his mission to ensure that visitors experience and enjoy a unique cultural taste of the Himalayan region, without having to worry about the details.
From his humble beginnings in Dhading District, where his parents farmed… education provided Dipak with the key to opportunity. When he turned sixteen, he was sent to Kathmandu. While studying at evening college, he helped his uncle to run a bicycle hire business. This was to be the first of many enterprises and it laid the foundation for an understanding of what travellers seek; an authentic journey of discovery.
Dipak is passionate about making people’s dreams come true. His expertise has been honed by over twenty-five years in the business, exploring far-flung areas across Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and India. His knowledge of cultural and mountain tourism and his experience was recognised by the Trekking Agents Association of Nepal when he became its spokesperson in 1999.

Just wanted to say thank you for a fabulous time we had on our trek to Everest Base Camp and Chitwan Jungle Adventure (November 2012).
